Mobile marketing 101
Enhancing the client’s long-term strategy with an extensible mobile platform.
Tourism New Zealand recently launched its first mobile website alongside one of many highly focused, optimised and measurable campaigns.
The Shift-designed site initially supported TNZ’s Australian spring campaign and allowed users to view New Zealand travel deals and springtime events around the country.
We built the site around a strong call to action and the Aussies replied in droves. The site illustrates the powerful immediacy of the mobile channel, with many users checking out a deal then promptly phoning in to book.
The platform we developed is extensible and adaptable, giving TNZ plenty of scope for tailoring future mobile marketing campaigns. It’s also efficient – the content comes from TNZ’s online site and is reworked to suit the way people digest information on mobile phones.
Mobile sites are quickly coming to the fore and if TNZ’s first foray is any indication it will soon be hard to imagine life without them.
