Developer

James is a Developer for Shift Wellington.

He has been building websites since before the turn of century, having redeveloped the MetService.com website twice in his time as Information Enthusiast at NZ's official weather forecaster, then having moved onto help build and redevelop sites such as nzmusic.com, nzembassy.com, wellingtonnz.com, beehive.govt.nz, forestandbird.org.nz and westpacstadium.co.nz in his time at Morse Media and Breathe Communications.

James won the Netguide Best Blogger award for his bizgirl.blogspot.com website (the blog of his librarian alter-ego, Natalie Biz), a site that was also nominated in the Bloggies, and was named as an honouree at the Webby Awards. He also founded the community blog-site Wellingtonista.com, and contributes to the sports podcast/blog Dropkicks.co.nz.

He has a Masters Degree in Library and Information Studies, an Honours Degree in History, and a Bachelors degree in English Literature.
